Access Issue: No overnight camping on PG&E property Details

Noticed several tents while walking into the emeralds climbing area this last weekend ( 5/20/17 ). PG&E (Pacific Gas and Electric) has posted several signs at the gate and other areas that state camping is NOT allowed. Please respect this so that access does not become an issue! Description

10/1/2022 UPDATE There are now two climbs on Via Ferrata Wall, "He who rests, rusts" and a new climb 10' to it's left. Brad and John are getting tired and too old to be cleaning all the climbs we put up so if someone will clean both of these routes with wire brushes, whisk brooms and tools to clean cracks and remove loose rocks (to our satisfaction) you can name the new route and be listed as one of the first ascensionists. Let us know.

Getting There

Via Farrata wall is to the right of Thunderdome. Walk up the ramp towards Thunder Dome. Turn right at the wall, walk for about 15 feet and look up for a cable. Climb up and clip your leash to the cable and use it to traverse along the ledge. The cable only goes for roughly 100 feet. Currently there is no rappel anchor on the ledge so getting down requires you to traverse back. Both routes start at a two inch tree 4' up the wall.
