Description
AKA Sky Blue Lake Basin.
The Rock Creek Drainage runs through it (not to be confused with Rock Creek near Tom's Place)..
Secluded and beautiful.
Getting There
Can be approached from the Langley/JMT, Lone Pine, or Whitney trails.
The shortest approach (although by no means trivial) is most likely from Horseshoe Meadows, over Old Army Pass, up towards Langley, then cut down west to Soldier Lake, then up a gully north of that lake (just before reaching it) and into Miter Basin.
A two day hike over Cottonwood Pass stopping at Chicken Spring Lake then on to Miter Basin would be the casual and longer approach.
