Description
Jumonville rocks is a combination of a 1/2 mile long, 40ft tall chossy sandstone cliffband equipped for toproping, some scattered boulders of decent quality, and a sweet bouldering cave that's unique in all of SWPA (see picture)--worth the visit for this cave alone, even though it only hosts a handful of problems. There are a few top rope anchors for easy routes.
Getting There
From 119 S take the first exit after the Penn State Fayette Campus onto Connellsville Road. Continue on Connellsville Road for a few miles until you cross a bridge. Make the first left after the bridge onto Coolspring Jumonville Rd and follow around the hairpin turn. At the t-intersection follow Coolspring to the left. About a half mile past the entrance to the rock quarry, as you start climbing the hill, the will be a dirt parking lot to your left that's blocked off. Park near here. Walk straight up the hill.
