Windmill 34

International > N America > Canada > British Columbia > Northern BC > Bear Mtn Crag

Description

The windmill 34 area is the ‘main crag’ area, with the most development and anchors. The rock is a mix of hard pebbly conglomerate and smooth hard sandstone with some face climbing and several good crack systems.

Development has been mixed over the years, with multiple areas and all kinds of climbing, from sport to trad to dry-tooling.

While people have been climbing at Bear Mountain for over 10 years, not a lot of information exists on the routes, grades, first ascents or developers. Please add information or contact route posters if information is incomplete or incorrect.

More areas and routes will be added as information and beta is gathered

Getting There

Park at the corner of the #34 windmill. Hike down to the lookout and look over the valley. The crag is to your left along the cliff and the down climb is to the right, picking your way through several large boulders.
