DNR wants to pass on a friendly reminder to display your Discover Pass, not block any gates, and park well off the road to prevent getting ticketed or towed. Access Fund and Washington Climbers Coalition continue to partner with DNR on stewardship and management of the Gold Bar Boulders and their access sites. Description
Reiter Road, the winding path that connects Gold Bar and Index on the north side of the Skykomish and accesses Forks of the Sky State Park, makes its way through many hidden boulders. The concentration is nowhere near that of the Foothills, and as such many laid untouched until recent years when a long hike guarded the Clearcut and Forest, and Seattle climbers were hungry for shorter approaches to Gold Bar granite. All the boulders are accessed by a short hike off Reiter Road, and range from Washington's finest boulder (the Five Star) to one of the latest additions, the Grand Line.
