This basalt trad climbing area has roughly 30 routes from 5.4 to 5.11. The climbs are roughly 20-40 feet in height and generally face south. The area is located to the northwest of Reykjavík about 1.5 hours (120km) on the Snæfells Peninsula.

From Reykjavík:
- Go generally north on Route 1 to Borgarnes.
- Go northwest from Borgarnes on Highway 54 (Highway 1 goes northeast).
- About 3.4 miles/5.5km west from the Highway 54/55 intersection, at coordinates 64.846585, -22.369419, you will turn right (north) off Highway 54. This turnoff is roughly 50 yards east of the intersection with Route 567, which is a left turn.
-Drive roughly north on a well-graded dirt road about 1.7km to a parking area on the right with a sign "Gerouberg." The coordinates for the parking area are about 64.860661, -22.358827.
As you are driving in on the dirt road from Highway 54, you will pass a farm on the right and then the dirt road will curve right and head east toward the parking area and beyond that, a church. After the right curve, as you head toward the church, the cliff will be on your left - it's very obvious.
From the parking area, hike uphill through moss-covered talus about 100 yards to the base of the cliff. Most of the developed sectors are to the west (left) of the parking area and the Gerouberg sign.
