Description
Great climbing venue high up on a hill on the southern part of the island. Spectacular views and about 130 routes of all grades and from 15 meters in length to multi-pitches. Pretty much gets all day sun, and the wall can bake. Really good on cool or cloudy days. To climb here you must register for a permit online, take a chill pill, the permits are free, but there is a cap to how many can be issued for any one day. So, best to book in advance. www.centralreservastenerife.es
Getting There
Navigate to the town of Tejina de Isora. Turn left on TF-82 towards Guía de Isora. After the tunnel turn right to go to the town of Acojeja. Once in Acojeja you will see a large roundish parking area on the right side of the road, park here. Continue to walk up the road for about 500 meters. You will see a small trail to the right that goes through a small field, and wanders past some fenced in areas. This is the trail to the crag, make sure to look for cairns to ensure that you're going the right direction on the trail, which can get confusing at a few points. Once you're on the trail it's about 10 minutes to the crag.
