Kuma Area

Virginia > Shenandoah & NW… > Crescent Boulders

Description

This area has a decent sized bloc with a key feature of a huge fallen tree in front of it and a pit formed by boulders on four sides behind it.

Getting There

When looking at the Alone Boulder from the AT trail, turn 180 degrees and you should see a smaller boulder on the opposite side of the trail. Go to the left side of this boulder and continue hiking off trail for about 50 feet. You should come across a pit formed by rocks, this is the back of the area. Continue past for 10 feet and you're at the top of the Kuma boulder area.
