Description
Boulders in Ramapo Valley County Reservation. Conglomerate, sharp, frictiony rock. Area is very shady. Mostly unclimbed, so some rocks still need some cleaning done, but definitely worth it.
Getting There
Park at the pullout just Northeast of the Cleveland Bridge on Ramapo Valley Road (41.065904, -74.207143). Cross the Cleveland Bridge and walk up Bear Swamp Road (~1 mile). Climbing areas are on both sides of the road.
- Note: Road is gated off and private, although I have seen many people use it to access the public trails that intersect with it, those who have access to the road don't seem to mind it being used to get to these hiking or climbing areas.
