Description

Some of the closest good stone on public land to Conway and Little Rock. 15 Min from Heber Springs and 10min from Quitman. Rock is most likely Middle Bloyd Sandstone (judging from what I've seen from the quarry just up the road and the syncline that extends from the river valley up to Greer's Ferry). Most of the rock is fairly soft but has allowed water to sculp some really cool features reminiscent of Horsepens or Font. There is also some bullet stone on several boulders in the region.

This area gets a lot of sun in the winter time and can be very sheltered from the wind. This area has been posted on 27crags.com (27crags.com/crags/the-gasfi…) for nearly a decade but it doesn't seem that very many people have ventured into these boulder gardens since the first ascensionist (circa 2011). Assume boulders will need to be recleaned but it'll be worth it and you'll have these little zen gardens of public land all to yourself to session your heart out and finger tips off!
