Description

Upper Provo Falls, or The North End as I like to call it is home to multiple mutli-pitch ice routes and bolted mixed routes scattered throughout each of the drainages. All ice lines are threatened from Avi hazards as there are multiple start zones located high above the climbs which are hard to see from below. Its a heads up area, check the local conditions before you venture out, but when the avi potential is low, expect to see a few parties on Miller's or the first pitch of the Fang throughout the day.

Getting There

Drive a mile or so past the Nunn's Parking lot, and turn south (right if coming from Provo) at the Upper Falls Parking lot sign. Drive to the end of the plowed road and park at the gate. Walk down the road and cross the river at the first bridge. From the bridge, the trail to the base of the Upper Falls or The Fang starts directly behind the concrete structures on the other side of the paved walking path. Head straight up for a few minutes and then if headed to Millers, The Fang, ect, turn right and take the upward traversing trail directly to the base of The Fang. Continue on the trail to the other climbs. 15-30minute approach depending on your fitness.
