Description

This is a new area with many potential boulders. Rock quality ranges from suspect to completely solid. Be mindful of the nearby neighborhood and poison oak if going off-trail.

Getting There

Off of Auburn Folsom Road, turn east onto Lomida Lane, and continue onto Lake Forest Drive. Park at the parking lot for the field and playground on Lake Forest Drive, as this road turns to private property 1/4 mile further. Walk to the gate marking the private property and turn right along the wide trail. Follow this for 3 minutes until it reaches another wide trail, and turn left. Continue on this trail for about 10 minutes and the Cannonball boulder will be uphill to the left of the trail. The larger, obvious Lake Forest boulder is two minutes further.
