Description
A tricky to find Crag, Mirage took several passes on the road to find; appearing as a split second glimpse of ice and disappearing in a flash. A neat bit of terrain in a steep river gorge, this area could use a bit more exploration, but it's similar in character to the nearby and much more travelled Folly River.
Getting There
Located on the Great Village River, travel North from Londonderry on the Westchester road. Cross the Bailey Bridge (Some ice has been climbed in this area by Brandon Law and Ryan Deroshes). and continue upriver for a km or two. Look for a indistinct pullout on the right side (usually ploughed in) with a small community group sign on a tree. You should park here and head downhill towards the ice. It's possible to see the ice very briefly from the road if looking to the Southeast. You'll need to find a way across the wide but shallow River to reach the crag.
