Right and Left Firestone

California > Lake Tahoe > I-80 Corridor > Donner/Truckee… > Yuba Gap > Firestones

Description

Two side-by-side mega granite boulders

Getting There

Take Emigrant Gap exit and head east along the road that runs parallel to southbound Hwy 80. The paved road will end in about a mile. Continue along the dirt road for 0.5 miles staying left at the fork. The road will wash out. Park your car and walk the remaining o.4 miles to the boulders (or drive up to them if you have a monster truck with insanely high clearance). The boulders will be on the right as you approach along an uphill grade.
