Description
This area encompasses all climbing in and around the Black Rock area. There is bouldering and DWS on the gneiss next to the river, a few splitter cracks on the sandstone walls on both sides of the river, and tower climbs already detailed in the Black Rock Towers area.
Getting There
Per Bill Duncan:
"This area is actually in Colorado, but only a couple of miles from the Utah border. Launch on the Colorado River at Loma. Float about 14 miles to the Black Rocks.
Take out at the Westwater ranger station. Permits are required to float farther."
