Chalkboard is the first dome that is reached from the Lost Canyon Trail. Mostly moderate climbing here.

45 minutes or so from the Trailhead. Follow the directions from the general Lost Canyon Area description. Basically, park on Ironwood Rd. at the large boulder in the middle of the road before the Forest Service Campground. Head up the main trail West as for Rockfellow. Turn left after .25 miles on the Lost Canyon Trail at approximately N31 55.5962, W109 58.2079. A pictograph and carved steps in the stone mark the turn off area. The turn is just after these markers. After 30-45 mins, Chalkboard Dome will be reached.
