The Alcoves

Colorado > 10 Mile Canyon > Brick Wall/Alcoves

There are many small boulder problems and toprope climbs here, nearly all of them in the moderate range on surprisingly quality stone. The road noise is slightly dampened compared to other 10 Mile crags. This subarea was left intentionally devoid to promote exploring. Brush off the lichen, and have fun.

Getting There

From the pullout, head up towards Brick Wall. Utilizing the path of least resistance, head uphill and right (clockwise) until you reach the backside of the small, vegetated dome.

[Hide Comment] Interesting stuff up here. The 11 from the old guidebook is definitely worth the slightly brutal approach. Bring some long webbing and tight shoes! Jun 16, 2021
