Description
Topkapi Palace is a spectacular crag of conglomerate rock and limestone. This wall has a nice selection of long routes, short routes, crampy routes and jugs. The 10+ climbs range from 6a+ to 7b+ with more development currently happening (2020). The north facing aspect gives this area all day shade and the higher up location often enjoys a nice breeze. The view is incredible and with a slightly longer approach of 15 minutes you are likely to enjoy more solitude then at some of the cliff faces farther down Canyon.
Getting There
From the lower parking lot descend 2/3 of the way to the canyon floor before hanging a left and side healing down to the dry river bed. When you encounter a obstruction of large boulders take a left-hand bypass before dropping again, back down to river bed. You will see a house size boulder, split in half, perched on top of a short cliff ban. Walk up canyon, along the base of this cliff and then follow a switch back and fixed line along a ledge. Via ferrata rungs up the left side of this split rock will put you at the base of the cliff .
