Description Suggest change

Lost Wall is a nice, small area with fun sport routes on solid granite. The routes are designed as a place to learn to climb and lead.  The routes are tiny and the the belayer can always be in communication with the climber.  By no means a destination, the wall is mainly designed for comfortable teaching.  The aspens provide shade throughout the day and make for a scenic outing. The routes are all fairly small but fun nonetheless. The cruxes of most of the routes will be found right near the ground.  The rock tends to be very good by summit county standards, but the routes to the far right may have some small things that come loose. Be careful when setting up top ropes to not knock anything down!

Getting There Suggest change

The trail starts near the beginning of the concrete wall for the emergency ramp. DO NOT PARK ON THE EMERGENCY RAMP!! Park slightly up the road on the right side of the eastbound lane. There is a good pull off that can accommodate 3-4 cars. There is a photo attached to help with finding the trail. Follow the trail and cairns to the wall. The approach is short but slightly steep. I recommend good tennis shoes. Steps will be added soon to make the lower section a bit more manageable.
