Description

Though within Whitney Thayer Woods, this area is over 1/2 mile west of the tradition Whitney Thayer Woods parking lot entrance (across from Stop & Shop on 3A). The area is newly being developed and appears promising.

Getting There

Park at Cohasset t-stop in Rail Trail spots. Cross 3A to Whitney Spur Rail Trail heading south. Walk Rail Trail approximately 8-10 miinutes. Make your first obvious left onto the Red Loop Trail. Make an immediate right onto a side trail. About 50 yards in, as the trail turns right, look uphill, and you’ll see the top of the boulder above/past a fallen tree. Bushwhack uphill 50 yards up to the boulder.
