2. Brain Block

California > Lake Tahoe > I-80 Corridor > Donner Summit > Snowshed Wall > E Face

Description

Short but immaculate and almost perfectly-vertical block in the upper section of Snowshed east. The wall faces north and is generally shaded all day. Though seemingly blank from a distance, the wall is littered with a variety of small edges, and contains the classic crimpfest Brain Child, as well as a hard, bouldery line to its left that sees few repeats. There are a number of linkups between these two routes, as well as a quality addition to the Snowshed arête series called Missing Mind.

Getting There

Approach as for Snowshed East. The brain block is the north facing wall just above the main east face.
