Description
Half a dozen volcanic tuff formations nestled in an old growth amphitheater on BLM land. 200' unclimbed spire! Unclimbed arch! Rock quality is variable but the volcanic conglomerate is fun to climb on. Conglomerate Crag offers a few moderate sport climbs that stay dry.
Getting There
Follow Little River Road past the Peel Store, passing the covered bridge at Cavitt Creek Road. In a couple miles make a left turn on Greenman Creek Spur 27 BLM 70. At about 1/2 mile take a left that climbs past the 1 mile mark to a switchback with a less used road to the right. Take the right, which dead ends in 3/4 mile at a gravel pit. Hike the elk trails 10-15 minutes up steep loose scree and watch for poison oak. Follow the edge of the gravel pit up and then traverse through salal up to the spire and Conglomerate Crag. Good camping spot in the gravel pit on BLM land. Plus code: 62VF+Q2 Glide, Oregon
