Description

Petite paroi école de 10 mètres situé dans la municipalité de Preissac qui compte 10 voies ouvertes; 3 voies sportives, 6 trad et 1 mixte. Toute les voies sont facile d’accès au sommet pour y installer des moulinettes. L’endroit est idéal pour initier des grimpeurs et débuter la pratique de l’escalade traditionnelle. Le bas de la paroi est stable, sécuritaire et dégagé. La paroi de granite contient plusieurs belles prises de quartz et de jolie fissures horizontales très intéressantes à grimper en trad. Site en plein soleil du matin jusqu’à environ 3 heure p.m. orienté Sud-est.

Se grimpe tôt au printemps avec de la neige encore au sol, tout l’été et tard en automne.

La marche d’approche est facile en sentier, 600 mètres du stationnement.

Small school crag of 10 meters located in the municipality of Preissac which has 10 open routes; 3 sports routes, 6 trad and 1 mixed. All the routes are easy to toprope. The place is ideal for initiating climbers and begin the practice of traditional climbing. The belaying ground is stable, secure and cleared. The granite wall contains several beautiful quartz holds and pretty horizontal cracks and is very interesting to climb in trad. Site in full morning sun until about 3 o'clock p.m. facing South-East.

Climb in early spring with snow still on the ground, all summer and late fall.

The approach walk is easy on the trail, 600 meters from the parking lot.

Getting There

De Amos, suivre la route 395 sud et dépasser la municipalité de Preissac sur près de 10 km. De Val-d'Or, emprunter la route 117 nord et tourner à droite sur la route 395. Passer le pont et continuer à près de 10 km avant la municipalité de Preissac.

De Rouyn-Noranda, emprunter la route 117 sud et tourner à gauche sur la route 395.

Passer le pont et continuer à près de 10 km avant la municipalité de Preissac.

À ce niveau, la route porte le nom d’avenue du Lac.

Adresse du stationnement: 575 Avenue du Lac (route 395), Preissac.

Prendre le sentier des 3 lacs à partir du stationnement, tourner à gauche à la première intersection. Suivre les rubans marqueurs et les flèches bleus. Sentier facile de 600 mètres. Pour les blocs un petit sentier au rubans oranges se trouve sur la droite à la dernière intersection juste avant d’arriver à la paroi.

From Amos, follow route 395 south and pass the municipality of Preissac and drive 10 km. From Val-d'Or, take route 117 north and turn right onto route 395. Pass the bridge and continue nearly 10 km before the municipality of Preissac.

From Rouyn-Noranda, take route 117 south and turn left onto route 395.

Cross the bridge and continue nearly 10 km before the municipality of Preissac.

At this level, the road is called avenue du Lac.

Take the sentier des 3 lacs trail from the parking lot, turn left at the

first intersection. Follow the marker ribbons and blue arrows. 600 easy trail meters. For some bouldering a small trail with orange ribbons is on the right at the last intersection just before you get to the wall.
