Description
Practice Rock is a short and wide, but beautiful feature up in the woods off of Granite Creek Road. It hosts two roped routes, and a bit of bouldering around there. The wall is in a gorgeous open stand of trees, so it sees shade most of the day.
The actual "practice wall" is to the right of the roped routes, and is a panel probably 75 feet wide. This bomber rock is smattered with jugs, pockets, crimps, etc, and a full boulder traverse of this wall is allegedly 5.12c.

Getting There
From Missoula, take 93 south. Take a right onto Hwy 12 at Lolo. Turn right onto Fish Creek Road after Lolo Hot Springs Resort and follow for 2 miles. Take a left onto Granite Creek Road at the three way junction and drive 2.5 miles to a short three bolt sport climb with "G+G" spray painted at the base. Park 30 feet around the corner and find a faint trail on the right side of the road. Follow trail until it dissipates and hike straight up the hill to Practice Rock. 5-10 min walk.
