Boss Garden

Utah > Wasatch Range > Central Wasatch > Big Cottonwood Canyon

Description

This small zone is home to a couple steep routes, and is located up a scree gully just up-canyon from the Hoss Garden. The wall is not super tall, but it's about 45 deg overhung so it packs a punch. Hoping this adds a little more confusion to the Choss/Hoss garden names.

Getting There

The approach for this crag begins about 100 yards uphill from where you hike to the Hoss Garden (same parking). Find the cairn, and begin with a small scramble up some rocks, traverse up and left on insecure dirt until you reach trees and a cliffside. Follow the cliffside trail (left) for a few minutes. Scramble up the scree gully, dodging any boulders your belayer might dislodge while hiking in front of you, and find the obvious overhang on the right. 10 minutes or so
