Description

This area contains all the climbs on the south face of Machete Ridge including the ultra classic Old Original.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: since 2018 a pair of condors has been trying to nest on the south end of Machete Ridge. When this happens all routes to the right(west) of Corona and extending west and south and around to The Hideout on the south face which includes Old Original are closed. Getting There

Find a small climber's trail right past a small seasonal waterfall. just before you reach The Gameshow.  Climb up this and left aiming for the buttress which forms the south face.  Hug the face and then climb out on 3rd class slabs to reach the routes.  It's about a 500' uphill slog.  Watch for ticks in season.
