Description Suggest change

The Shield Area holds the conspicuous panel almost like granite with its namesake splitter finger crack. Several route and variation options exist here for a nice and compact circuit. Most of the routes top out at a belay station sub-ledge on top of the shield feature, with another finishing pitch to get to the rim. See photo.

Getting There Suggest change

Walk along the North side rim from the road for about 100 yards. Pass the top-out juniper of the Couple's Wall and step over rotting downed trunk. If you get to an obvious lone tree stump on the rim you went too far.
