Description

This cheeky little pebble provides excellent granite climbing maxing out at an elevation of approximately 40 feet. There are an assortment of engaging highballs or solos (top-roping may be possible but is never recommended, bring copious yardage of webbing to sling 'round trees if feeling sacrilegious) ranging from low commitment traverses to easily down-climbable face and crack with slab climbs. Bring your best array of sticks to brush lichen and spiderwebs out of the desired cracks and holds.

Gettin' Ther

Amble towards the Dyea flats and continue towards the free campground, crossing the bridge across the Taiya and taking the first left towards the historic site and cemetery. Take a left at the next junction (towards the historic site and NOT the cemetery) and continue until you see a wooden bridge with a sign on the other side declaring "Dyea Municipal Recreational Area". Stop before crossing this bridge and glance casually to your right and 200 yards away you will see a gorgeously textured lump of perfect granite featuring horizontal cracks on the left side and various cracks ranging from finger sized to ow/squeeze chim on the right. Contain (or don't) your excitement and approach the crag making sufficient noise to frighten away bears or aggressive children on ATVs.
