Description Suggest change

Whitney Cave is at the southern end of Alabama Hills. The formations are mostly north facing and contain climbs that ascend steep plated faces.  The Capricorn Wall is to the west of Whitney Cave. Pu Pu Platter is reached via the corridor to the east of the cave.
Whitney Cave was a local party hangout as evidenced by the fire rings and smoke charred rocks of the cave.

Getting There Suggest change

Approach as for the Candy Store or Earthday Dome. Drive through the cattle gate and continue on the road to the southeast to the parking area at the road's end. Be sure to close the gate behind you. This will keep things friendly with the local rancher.
