Description Suggest change

A canyon without a huge amount of established climbing. It lies west of Fruita Canyon and the west entrance to the monument.

Getting There Suggest change

Access is via the “Kodel Canyon Trailhead” though it isn’t officially named that by any signage. From I-70, take the Fruita exit and highway 310(Broadway) south to just past Kings View road. The trailhead is on the right( west) side of the highway, unmarked, in a small dirt pullout for 10 cars. Access from here is on the K1 trail headed south. There are many trails, named and unnamed in the area. Hike time to the canyon itself is 15-20min, the park boundary 20-30 min, with more depending on how far up you go.
