Getting There
From I-80, take exit 160 / Yuba Gap. Get onto Lake Valley Rd. There are two options:
1. From above - Drive for .7 miles. There is a small pullout on the left. If you pass a locked to private property on your left, you have gone too far. Walk along the ridge to the right (do not go downhill into a stream). Follow the path of least resistance. After 2 minutes you'll find the roadside sector. Another 5 minutes you'll find the upstream area.
2. From below - Drive past the parking for above. Make a sharp right onto an unnamed dirt road. At a Y, make another right. This spur will end at a turnout at the stream. Follow the stream up. You'll be able to see the boulders from the parking. From below parking, it is about 10 minutes of bushwhacking to get to the downstream area.
