Description Suggest change

A beautiful glacial valley surrounded by jagged granite spires, with the remaining pocket of glacier at its head. Alpine traverse routes abound, and climbers can find many different levels of difficulty on these stunning peaks.  Additionally, there is a hut maintained by the Mountaineering Club of Alaska nearby, which can be convenient to use for those who are members.

Getting There Suggest change

Gold Mint trail is the standard approach, is 8 miles one way, and is located at Mile 13.7 Hatcher Pass road. The trail is quite easy to follow in summer conditions, although in winter this may vary considerably. Please note there is a parking fee.
