Also known as Bear Mountain Spire and visible from Boynton Pass Road, this is the prominent 100-foot tower located on the first bench of the Bear Mountain trail.

Getting There Suggest change

HIke the bear Mountain trail for approximately .66 miles.   Ursa Minor is easy to identify as you climb the trail. Stay on the trail till almost parallel with the tower and then turn right and follow a smaller, cairned climber’s trail towards the base of the crag.   The trails leads up to and wraps around the base. Follow this clockwise to a sunny saddle at the base of the Ursa Minor route.   Elevation gain is ~ 600ft
