Description
Paredes del Pantano is the main event in Chulilla. Even though it's divided into a handful of discrete sectors that span the better part of a kilometer, (Balcon, Algarrobo, Chorreras, etc) it's possible to walk the wall end to end in about 10 minutes. It's also worth noting that there are four other sectors that are effectively part of the same feature, just further east. (Monte de Venus, Pared Blanca, Fuente del Toto) The walls face NNW, so you'll see zero sun in the winter. The climbing starts getting good at 7a and really shines starting at 7c. While you could make many work with a 70m rope and would need a 90m for others, an 80m is generally considered standard.
Getting There
Park here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6EmTrSea7x6zfN5cA
Drive across the bridge. There are two small dirt pull outs on the left side of the road.
Hike back across the bridge and turn right. Hike for a few minutes until you reach a blue metal bridge. Cross the bridge, turn left, passing some signs that say "only for climbing access" in Spanish. Continue to a small clearing with a fork. Going straight/left takes you to the right side of Oasis and left side of Chorreras. Going right takes you to a steep, fixed line and you arrive at the right side of Master.
