Description
Second Buttress is home to some of the tallest and steepest climbing on Hogback. As of now there are only a few trad lines and top rope routes but they are absolutley worth the hike. The slightly remote setting combined with the amazing aesthetic of routes such as "Too Many Ladybugs", Second Buttress will undoubtly become a frequented rock climbing destination in the Marquette region.
Getting There
Heading west from the summit scramble down into a channel that splits first and second buttress. Head south down the channel hugging the wall to the right. A large arrow is painted on the wall from the old "spiral trail" that is long lost. You'll come up to the wall that "Swine Flu" is located on. Just down hill from here is the "Finger Crack" bouldering area. If you continue past "Swine Flu" the next and biggest section of the cliff is visible where "Too Many Ladybugs" is located central wall.
