Description
Upper Gold mine consists of the giant boulders found on the upper hill starting above Color of Time Boulder. The absolute standout climbs are Nighthawk (v5), Rolling Thunder (V3), and Bloody Knuckles (V5). All of those climbs are considered area classics and are worthy of the climb up to them.
Getting There
Following the trail uphill from the Color of Time boulder. An update to this page will be made shortly, but essentially everything up the hill from Color of Time is considered Upper Gold Mine.
To get to Nighthawk keep going uphill, keeping the boulders in sight. As the boulders that line the side of the talus field start to pitter out you will see a sweet looking compression rig at the top of the hill. That is nighthawk. This is also the best way into the talus field Unless you enter by Gold Mine West and Scramble.
