Valle del Vero-Toirano Rock Climbing

If using Googlemaps, set up navigation to Grotes de Toirano, which will get you to the parking location.
From A10 tollway, take exit for Borghetto S.Spirito. Follow the signposts for Toirano through several roundabouts (route SP1). In Toirano, turn right to SP25, and then turn left/uphill following the sign for Grotes de Toirano. The location on MP map marks the parking lot for Grotte de Toirano, and the climbing access.

If the parking lot is open: take the access road uphill for about 500-600m. The road will end at a large parking lot with a restaurant/information building. A large paved path begins at the end of the parking lot, near the restaurant building, and takes you uphill, about 300m, to a ticket office/grotto entrance.

If the parking lot is closed: park on the left side of the parking lot access road, at the bottom of the hill. Walk uphill towards the closed gate of the parking lot. About 100m uphill you will see an obvious trail on the tight, with a large trail map sign. Take this trail (red/yellow stripe markings) as it switchbacks up the terraced hill. When the unpaved trail joins the wide paved path, take the trail left, and it will eventually take you to the ticket office. This alternative approach adds about 15-20 minutes to the hike.

Regardless of which way you reached the ticket office, walk past the ticket office, and follow the yellow and red markings on the trail (also signposted "Sentiero delle Terre Alte", no longer paved after the ticket office, but very obvious trail). The trail will take you to the trail junction with signs for different sectors. The hike to the junction where trails split to different sectors is about 10 minutes from the ticket office/Grotto entrance.
