Description

Sunny crag with 30+ routes. Overhanging tufas in the French 6-7 grade range, slabby/vertical routes in the 5+/6- grades.

Getting There

from A10 tollway, take an exit towards Martinetto. In Martinetto, turn left onto SP14 towards Castelbianco, and set the odometer to 0. pass through Castelbianco, and continue straight. Eight km from the turnoff in Martinetto, right after the sign that you are leaving the municipality of Castebianco, and entering municipality of Nassino, there will be a fertilizer factory on the right (obvious because of the large plastic-wrapped pallets of peat on both sides of the road). Immediately after the factory, there would be a large gravel pull-off on the left. Park there, and cross the road to the size of the fertilizer factory.

A well-maintained path starts a few meters past the driveway leading back to the factory grounds. Follow the path uphill, ignoring a slightly smaller trail that branches right, then 2 trails that branch left, and another trail that branches right. When in doubt, always follow the bigger/cairned path, and look out for couple steep rocky step sections with knotted rope. This trails leads you to the base of Sector Euskal. (about 15 minutes from the parking spot)

From Euskal, walk left couple hundred meters and ascend the metal rungs cemented into the rock to get to Sector Colosseo (2-3 more minutes)

From Colosseo, continue walking left/slightly down, following the cairned trail for 2-3 more minutes, to reach Rocca della Bassura.
