Description
Quality granite bouldering in a beautiful setting. 45 minutes from Fresno. The rock is very polished and it may take a little time to get used to climbing here. Hot in summer, perfect in winter. ALWAYS CHECK WATER LEVELS
Getting There
From Auberry make a left onto Powerhouse Rd. Left on Smalley Rd. Follow this 3 miles downhill and park where you like. The main parking area to your left is the most common way down to the gorge. NOTE: there is a $5 per car fee apparently. $25 for the year. Follow the trail down to the bridge over the San Joaquin River crossing it and then choosing to go upstream or downstream.
