[Hide Comment] Today I completed a traverse starting at Mayflower Gulch, and climbing a single ridge line all the way to Frisco (Mt Royal Lot) I’m nicknaming it the Tenmile Highway; although I’m certain it’s been done before and probably much faster than me. Someone cooler needs to start on Mt. Sherman and follow the ridge to Frisco. That would be next level….
The climb took me 13.5 hours moving comfortably and taking frequent mini-breaks. I summited every peak on the ridge except Mt. Royal and Mt. Victoria (didn’t really qualify as mountains to me). It adds up to a brilliant day of 15 summits and 20ish miles of ridge running: from 5th Class knife edges to miles of meadow touring. The day I did it there was a high wind warning in Frisco and Breck. Don’t be like me.
If anyone thinks it’s worth it to put this on the database as its own climb, I’ll give a detailed write up. Since it’s basically a link-up of two other traverses on this page, I wasn’t sure.
