Diamond Ledge Bouldering

Connecticut > CT Bouldering

Diamond Ledges sits in a scenic location behind Holcomb Farm on Granby Land Trust property donated by Mary Edwards. The Diamond Cluster boulders is located several dozen yards diagonally through the woods to the climber's right of the main cliff, they can be seen from the footpath that rounds to the top of the cliff if there is little/no foliage. - There is another round plump boulder located directly off broad hill main trail on the way to the upper cliff lookout.- There is also another "warm up" bouldering wall near the upper cliff lookout. This wall is to the climber's left of the upper cliff, for an easier approach take a right through the woods a couple hundred feet before the foundation at the lookout.

The cluster contains the bulk of the areas boulders, however the other areas each have a few problems of their own. Many of the problems in the area have been well climbed over the years, however documentation seems extremely limited compared to the cliff face.

Getting There

Same direction and parking beta as Diamond ledge.

20 West to West Granby Road then take a left onto Simsbury rd and then a right onto Broad Hill Road. Follow Broad Hill Road until it turns to dirt and you will see a metal gate preventing further travel up the road. You will need to park in the small dirt lot to the left of the gate. Walk up the dirt road (closed to cars) until you see an old pull-off on your left with a sign advertising Holcomb Farm hiking trails. The trailhead to the cliff is directly across the dirt road from the Holcomb Farm hiking trails sign. The Diamond Ledges are less than 200 feet.

Most of the directions to boulders are from the diamond ledge or the gravel approach road, as those are the two obvious landmarks.
