Description

3,059 acres of park land on the Peoples forest side and 893 acres on the American legion side. Hosting an array of different outdoor recreational users

Rock litters all aspects of both ridge lines and varies from complete choss to bullet stand alone erratic's

No formal conversation has been had with the Land Managers or Rangers, so be discrete and polite. That being said, hunting, snowmobiling, and camping is allowed in select area's of the park

Getting There

The parks are located in Barkhamsted/Riverton/Pleasant valley and can be accessed from East river road, West river road, Greenwoods road, and Park road depending on which area you're trying to access. Greenwoods is a gated road (closes at Sunset and in the Winter) that runs almost the full length of the park on top of the ridge
