Description
A string of small boulders with mantles, faces and arētes that extend to the west away from Lyons Reservoir Road in a row climaxing in the Pleasure Dome, which is about 15 to 17 feet high. Very accessible from the Lyons Reservoir Parking Lot on Sonora Pass Highway. Usually snow-free and dry most of the year with no access issues. The Pleasure Dome is usually sunny and dry but the other boulders are back in the shade.
Getting There
Walk back in past the gate on Lyons Reservoir Road and after 75 feet or so turn left down a small mountain bike path that leads to the back of the Pleasure Dome, which has face that serves as a bike jumping ramp. The other rocks are located in a row on the side of the small trail near the Sonora Pass Highway. These increase in height from the first one which is only a body length to the last three which have bouldering faces from 12 to 15 feet high. There are lots of snags and bushes here.
