The Cat's Den

Description

Cat's Den has 20’ walls sitting in the sun all day. It is mostly southwest-facing. This area consist of a corridor along with 3 other walls with fun boulder problems.

Getting There

The best and easiest approach is from the west entrance. Park near the old home stead ruins, and hike to the rim trail approximately 1 mile. Continue on the rim trail approxomately 3/4 of a mile till The Dungeon is within view. Begin looking for a long, 70’ corridor with 20’ walls at the canyon rim - there is an easy walk down to the base of the walls and the start of the corridor. The trail puts you at the base of the 4 best lines at the Cat's Den: Tiger Claw, V5, and Kitty Fingers, V3, are both on the gently overhanging orange and yellow wall.
