Description

Morning sun, afternoon shade, with a beautiful view of the Bimidi Valley. Currently just one route but it is well worth a trip up there for the 50m mega pitch. There is some potential on the adjacent tower just right of Wind of the Valium.

Getting There

On the road that takes you to the Gaurdian, there is a viewing platform on top a large conglomerate boulder on the left hand side of the road. If you are getting a ride, stop adjacent to the boulder and look directly across the road for a vague path. Follow the trail heading up right at first and then quickly dogleg left. After a short distance the trail will meet a more well travelled path. Turn right, the path should now be leading you straight up the Valley between Indy Wall on the Left and Over the Counter Wall on the right. After traversing you will begin heading steeply uphill passing through a small farm with a gate. After passing through the gate you will go by some conglomerate cliffs and come to a fork in the trail. Take the left fork which will take you uphill through the conglomerate boulders. The main trail will leave the boulders heading up right. When it leaves the boulders and begins heading up the hill on the right, take a left on a faint trail that continues up the valley instead. Look for a steep fan from a gulley and follow some steep goat trails that lead into the gulley. Keep left when you get into the gulley. It's steep but short lived, try not to stray too far from the main path, it can be confusing with all the goat trails. At the top of the goat trails you will come across goat shit corner and the start of the wall. Follow the wall around to the right until you reach the buttress and scramble up to Wind of the Valium or keep going to put up some new routes on the tower. 40 minutes from the road and it actually feels like a shorter approach relative to the others in the Bimidi Valley.
