Description

A small cluster of blocks on a perch above the Domestic Dome. A few choice lines and beautiful views make the short but steep approach worth it. A great spot to avoid the madness.

Getting There

Park in the Forestland parking lot or snag the spot right at the beginning of the driveway for the parking lot as the trail is right there. The trail begins shortly after the driveway turns right. Follow the trail up towards the dome. The trail forks early on, if you go right it will quickly take you to problems 1 and 2 in the guide (Problem 1 looks good). Stay left and head up to the base of the dome. The trail should fork again, go right to skirt around the dome up and through talus. The steep and sandy trail stays fairly close to the flank of the dome. Go up a short distance (couple hundred feet......or so) and looks for cairns to your left. The trail will cut back to your left, level off a bit and take you to the top of the dome. From here you should start to be able to see Bootin' Dookie up the hill on your right. If you cant see it just keep walking up canyon while trending up hill.
