Description

A recreation area found right before the seasonal gates on Highway 40 at Peter Lougheed Park are. Contains a few ice and mixed routes and a single bolted sport route. Rock route development is rumored to be discouraged due to the area being considered sacred by indigenous peoples.

The ice here is not usually an early season former however it does last fairly late into the season.

Getting There

Turn down Highway 40 from Highway 1 and drive south until you come to the obvious seasonal gates (closed Dec 15 - June 14). 50 meters before the gate on the left is a turn off to a parking lot for King's Creek (gated in the fall/winter). Park on the shoulder if the gate is closed.
