Description Suggest change

A recreation area found right before the seasonal gates on Highway 40 at Peter Lougheed Park are. Contains a few ice and mixed routes and a single bolted sport route. Rock route development is rumoured to be discouraged due to the area being considered sacred by indigenous peoples.

The ice here is not usually an early season former however it does last fairly late into the season.

Getting There Suggest change

Turn down Highway 40 from Highway 1 and drive south until you come to the obvious seasonal gates (closed Dec 15 - June 14). 50 metres before the gate is a turn off to the left for the King's Creek parking area (gated in the fall/winter). Park on the shoulder if the gate is closed.
