Fox Den

Rhode Island > Lincoln Woods

Description

A small overhanging band off the spur road, centrally located between Yosemite, Druid Circle and the Egg. This little ledge within the woods had its first recorded route 'Foxy' established back in the late 70’s by John  MacLean (aka Whitey). Holds a good variety of mid range problems on nice stone. Most of the original FA's and names (if they ever had any) have been lost to time.

Getting There

If approaching from the entrance parking, turn left into the woods at the egg, follow the trail up towards the Yosemite boulder. Fox Den will be on the right before you get to the left turn for Yosemite. Fox Den is within sight of the Quarry boulder and the Potato boulder.

If approaching from the Sitdown Area, you can use the Yosemite approach trail from the dirt track out of the picnic area at Sitdown. Follow that trail back towards Yosemite and before you turn up the hill to the right you'll pass the Fox Den on your left, just across from the Quarry boulder on your right.
