Description Suggest change

I wouldn't make this a destination tower as the approach is long and hot, but if you're in the area, it's an easy desert free route to a scenic summit. The south route receives all day sun.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive past the Ice Cream Parlor parking area by approximately a mile and look for a road and gate on the right (38.5017, -109.6066). Leave the Kane Springs road and go through the gate and drive another quarter mile. Park at a bend in the road (38.5028, -109.6110) where there should be a visible old 4X4 heading up the side of the mesa from the parking spot. If you reach the private property, you've driven too far.

Begin hiking up the old 4X4 road as it gains 1,000 feet above Kane Springs. After the old road cuts through the top of the mesa, hike back east following the road down a wash. The tower will be obvious on the right of the wash. Tower GPS coordinates: 38.5029, -109.6232
